Support us

Volunteer with us

Apart from our wonderful paid staff the Bevy is also supported by a small army of volunteers.

From managing community events to changing light bulbs every task is vital. Our volunteers support the pub but at the same time they support each other and the wider community of Moulsecoomb & Bevendean.

We need people to train as minibus drivers, to help with maintenance tasks, serve food at community events, washing up, painting & decorating, kids parties and helping to teach computer/internet skills.

If you have any time spare please text Ian on 07793 053 832 or send an email to volunteers@thebevy.co.uk

Become a shareholder

Want to support the Bevy and have more of a say in how it’s run?

You can become a community shareholder for as little as £10. To find out more about community shares this video is a great summary.

If you’d like to talk to someone about becoming a shareholder call 01273 281 009 or email contact@thebevy.co.uk or click here.

About us

More than a pub

Re-built, re-decorated and re-opened by an army of volunteers

in December 2014 The Bevy is the first community-owned and run estate pub in the UK.

We are a Community Benefit Society with over 700 shareholders and any money we make is reinvested in the local area, making The Bevy More Than A Pub.

If you’d like to talk to someone about becoming a shareholder call 01273 281 009 or email contact@thebevy.co.uk or click here.

Blood sweat and beers

Homegrown Films have produced this engrossing, funny and entertaining documentary detailing the trials and tribulations that unfolded when a group of ordinary, but passionate, locals decided to re-open their local pub.
